3-hydroxyphenazepam is a new designer drug, benzodiazepine, an analogue of the pharmaceutical phenazepam. 3-hydroxyphenazepam has more reduced relaxant effects, but they are about the same as phenazepam. 3-hydroxyphenazepam, like all benzodiazepines, affects the body as a tranquilizer and behaves as a positive allosteric modulator of the benzodiazepine site of the GABA receptor.
